Cake Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Uhh, i've made like a few topics, so i'll just update here. New sig for someone PS: If Devlz could comment on this it would be nice, as he stated some areas that I need improve for next time ^_^
Devlz Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Lots of improvement on this one. Maybe you should try to get rid of the black outlining, so it looks a bit more colourful. Also try to add about 3 different colors in the shading, maybe even more. Here is an example of what I did. (unfinished pixel of my 10 hp mage lol) I think your anatomy is getting better tho. If I had to rate this one I'd say 8 out of 10 I think. Nice to see improvement, and remember, practice makes perfect. :nice:
Cake Posted December 5, 2009 Author Posted December 5, 2009 Thanks Cj :) @Devlz - Thanks, i tried to add more colour. I also can really see what you mean by getting rid of the black outlining, your pixel looks incredible. It is amazing aha. I hope to get to your standard one day, i'll keep practising and thanks so much for the tips it'll help a lot in the future.
Devour Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 what do u guys use to make these 1337 sigs >.<? photoshop? or something better
Paxman Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Thanks Cj :) @Devlz - Thanks, i tried to add more colour. You do your outline in black, then colour it, but he's suggesting, after you colour it, get rid of it :) Maybe put it on another layer, then select the space you want to colour in from the outline layer, and colour in on the colour layer. If that makes sense :unsure2:
Cake Posted December 6, 2009 Author Posted December 6, 2009 This is MS Paint, not photoshop. There is no layers. I know what he means, replace the black with a darker version of the colour that the space is filled in with, to look more realistic.

Paxman Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 ohh MS Paint.. I thought u were doing it in Paint.NET. Sorry! :embarrased:
I C0NN0R I Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 Anatomy's better, but her breasts look retarded, and the head is too big, and the eyes still look really weird.

Jim Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 It looks as though you drew half a character then copied it, flip/rotated then placed it next to the other half. Don't copy and paste so much to achieve more realism.
Connor|New Recruits Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 Bad because its for a faggot spy.
W3` Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 nice dud ei would have never been able to do that
Cake Posted December 6, 2009 Author Posted December 6, 2009 It looks as though you drew half a character then copied it, flip/rotated then placed it next to the other half. Don't copy and paste so much to achieve more realism. It's meant to be the same, it's a front on view, look in the mirror (not intended as an insult) and tell me one side is different to the other (bar the hair, because this hair is meant to be in bunches AND the hair is different), and i didn't copy and paste half of it after doing half. Thanks for comments.

Thanks for comments. Not really man. I know our skeletons are symmetrical but you try putting a face mask on, you could spend 3 weeks, you wont get that shit even. Same applies for things like capes, etc. & Although the body parts like arms and legs, eyes, and supposed to be in line as you mentioned already because its a front view, but simple things like adding flow to those things that dangle off of the skill cape, or an extended arm/leg. That said, I used to cartoon a while back, I never could draw anything other than front views of characters really. That's why its best to have an idea of what you want to draw before you actually draw it.
Malcriado Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 I wont say anything, knowing i can't do that type of art.
I C0NN0R I Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 look in a mirror and try telling me both halves of your body are EXACTLY SYMMETRICAL.
