wouldn't this defeat the purpose tho? lets say I played a rsps that had a rat on it and my pc has a rat, won't they be able to use my winauth?

If your PC is prone to RATs then I wouldn't use a desktop authenticator. For all other intents and purposes it's a good alternative.
