What gym resources do you reccomend?

Sup,

I have been going to gym like sporadically as fuck, tagging along with friends every now and again for a few years and am keen to get a little more seriously into it. Not necessarily because I want to (actually the thought of being in a confined space surrounded by sweaty, grunting, spray-tanned men makes me want to noose myself), but I figure it'll keep me healthy and help me maintain a routine in my life which is something I've basically never had.

Before, whenever I've been to gym I've just followed my mates around, or just done like every exercise i could think of for legs, chest/triceps, back/biceps, shoulders/abs days. Never put much thought into what exercises I was doing etc, and have sure as fuck never cared about what I was eating.

Naturally there's a disgusting amount of info about this shit online, but I also know it's notoriously contradictory - and I'm sure a shitload of it won't apply to me as someone who isn't taking it all that seriously. That being said - what resources do you guys reccomend for noobs? The kinda info i'd be keen to learn more about would be like different regimes/routines (whatever the fuck you guys call it), meal plans/nutritional requirements (would be keen to start counting calories etc maybe), supplement info (i'd prob just use whey pwo/maybe as a meal replacement for breakfast), nothin cray.

Any AIO resources, or websites you guys found useful when you sorta took step from casual as hell to - taking things a little more seriously would be appreciated.

Hey man, good to see you want to take it more serious.

A lot of info you see on the net is good but its different for everyone because we all have different genetics so you have to sort out how your body reacts to whatever.

Having a good training schedule and a clean diet then you already are doing great.

Having enough sleep is also very important which is a problem I should solve for myself too.

And remember, weight does not matter, as long as you do it right then build up.

Goodluck man :)

I'd say it's 80% diet. You can't out train bad nutrition.

Sayign that, theres different goals and different types of training.

I focus on strength training and hypertrophy.

It depends what your goals are?
