anyone ever play guild wars?

yoo foe just wondering if any of you have experience with this MMO?

specifically, the new expansion heart of thorns.

they just switched it to f2p, so technically if one were to start playing all you'd need is the expansion[since it comes w. core game]?

 

i've never played guild wars in my life, but am certainly curious.

 

thoughts on the game, those whom have experienced it?

Tried gw2 for like 1h, it's pretty fun but I don't have time to pick up new games right now. I know someone who plays it a lot and he likes it so I guess it's good.

I played both the original Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2. The core gameplay of GW2 was (is?) really good when I tried it, but the game lacked content and the variety of the dynamic events was a bit underwhelming. I'm not sure how much of that was fixed (I played a month the moment it was released) but all in all it's an enjoyable game.

nice response. i too have heard it lacks content especially end-game content, but supposedly some addition to HoT is bettering that aspect.

yeah I played with a group, can't imagine playing solo to be honest, but that's just me I guess.

Its ight, I got a maxed character in like 3 hours though. I think they updated so you couldnt do that anymore but it was so easy lmao
