Yentll Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Can someone explain this to me? Like what is it (exercises, duration)? When is the best time to do this? Doesn't it burn gains?
Yentll Posted November 16, 2015 Author Posted November 16, 2015 Just go to the gym bro Doe ik al :p ben gestopt met voetbal, nu al 2j en moet eens wat vet verliezen :P
Craig Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 (edited) OK. For example. 400m track, sprint 100m walk 100m sprint 100m walk 100m. Repeat. Sprint up a hill, walk back down repeat. Just an example but there's many out there. Edited November 16, 2015 by Mr War

Skipping could be good but don't mince is you've gotta kind of work at 80% effort plus 1
Colin Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Probably better off just sprint training if you wanna train that way. It's for explosiveness.

NL_Ronald Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 (edited) just run the fuck out of your shoes then you should be fine ;) Edited November 16, 2015 by NL_Ronald
Rolexx Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 It's just cardio; cardio = burning calories = less gainz so HIIT= Less gainz, simple maths bro.
Penguin Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 I do this weekly. But I've got my own methods I just go to the running track and take a timer with me. I sprint 15 seconds and then i just jog for 25 seconds. HIIT is a killer workout, I recommend you not to run the next day, just hit the gym or do bodyweight excercises. Don't forget to stretch after a running workout ;)
ORP Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 u'll lose ur mass doing that shit, just get on the treadmill walk incline the stairmaster is op aswell
Steroids Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 people actually have the motivation to fully exert themselves via HIIT? i just eat less but that's just me (whilst using every appetite suppressant under the sun)
Kidinvisible Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 u'll lose ur mass doing that shit, just get on the treadmill walk incline the stairmaster is op aswell Cardiovascular activity has been proven to increase protein synthesis in leg muscles, thus increasing your muscle gain, it's by a ridiculous percentage like 20-40%. It's just cardio; cardio = burning calories = less gainz so HIIT= Less gainz, simple maths bro. It's only less gains if you're not a first year lifter or not in a calorie plus. OK. For example. 400m track, sprint 100m walk 100m sprint 100m walk 100m. Repeat. Sprint up a hill, walk back down repeat. Just an example but there's many out there. So 15 minutes of ropeskipping is enough or isn't it ? It would have to be incredibly intense rope skipping, such that you would need a break after 30 seconds. Optimum High intensity should be working you at 80-90%. If you can sprint more than 30 seconds, you're not running fast enough, or you're not running on a high enough incline. It's only truly high intensity if you need a long time to recover, but if it's HIIT you'll notice you'll fatigue the longer you train. Usually HIIT's don't last more than 25 minutes (including rest time). 1
