New shred method

Recommended Posts

Hi, my name's Callum|Kidinvisible

A soon to be applicant (hopefully).

I'm going to be attempting a new type of cutting method from research I've found.

I'll be posting update pictures every Sunday with weight and estimated body fat.

Until I get to my Physique Competition

Essentially my method is based on the idea that your metabolism is adaptable, which is why crashing diets only work for so long before you plateau. I'll be starting with my baseline inactive daily bulking calorie of 4,100 (Which raises dependant on exercise (gym/walking) and reducing 5% each week for 15 weeks.

The idea behind this method is that your body will always be in a negative (before your metabolism adapts to match it as your maintenance). Similar to how reverse dieting works. My theory is that by reducing slowly, your cravings will be low. I'm likely to try intermittent fasting towards the end, and potentially carb back loading.

Please excuse any faces pulled in pictures.

My current stats are

Lifting for one year,

5ft8

91 kilos

Estimated 13% body fat.

16.5 inch calves

16.5 inch arms

48 inch under chest

27 inch thighs

33 inch waist

53 inch shoulder width

"reverse dieting" has been proven to be a waste of time from a physiological stand-point. months and months of crash-dieting will rarely even decrease your metabolism more than say 5%.

your plan is valid in terms of reducing cravings though. overall it's will just get you slow, consistent results and you'll prob enjoy your life a lot more than most cutting diets. gl

yh bout 13% atm

I took a change to my plan, I'm reducing 5% twice a week, it's working well and my appetite is completely under control so far.

Will be interesting to see your results. I'm looking in to intermittent fasting right now to burn fat after my bulk. Anyone here tried doing i.f?
