He11 Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 If theres a song you like with a good beat/voice/etc., and emo/shit lyrics, does that make you emo/gay/whatever for listening to it and liking it? Discuss.
Grifte Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 IMO just listening doesn't make u emo, and the thing is u like the beat/voice, not the emo/shit lyrics, am I right?
Nick. Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 I like classical music, but I am not an old, senile weirdo. It is important for us to all realise that our music selection is part of our personal identity, and that should never be changed in accordance to being a chav/emo/skater etc.
Ultra Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 i have this sometimes, but then i just slap myself in the face, wake up and turn on my r&b/rap
Creamie pies Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 nope people just get jealous and they know they like that song.
Shut Up Kid Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 if you listen to miley cyrus your a homo
Jim Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 I have a few guilty music pleasures. REM, Savage Gardens, Alicia Keys, etc. Nothing wrong with it. I can honestly say there isn't a genre that doesn't have a song I enjoy.

il killzy il Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 Depends which song(s).... some are good and popular by everyone but some are popular only by girls.
Mikey` Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 I can honestly say that i like songs from every variety of music. Of course, i dont listen to every genre on a daily basis, but if a good country song came on the radio (one of my least favorite genres), i'd listen to it. I also love classical, jazz, progressive, fusion, indie, rock, classic rock, ect. I also even will listen to the poppish sort of stuff on the radio, like taylor swift or people like that, all in all i just love music :)
Itz Tragic Posted January 27, 2010 Posted January 27, 2010 I can honestly say that my all time favorite band is Hawthorne Heights, and if you listen to their songs you can tell they are emo/depressing. My general taste in music is basically metal/rock with good, clean singing, with some screaming here and there. My taste in music however contrasts with how I am. I am rather happy with myself, and am outgoing, not depressing at all.

I can honestly say there isn't a genre that doesn't have a song I enjoy. Got my orange crush :shifty: I listen to everything. Seriously, everything. Although I may disagree with the music produced by bands and some songs by bands, I'll listen to pieces from just about any genre stretching from classical to gangster rap (unfortunately) all the way to heavy metal, with everything between. Kind of the same as Mr. Jameslol over here ^_^
Steroids Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 I automaticly hate any music with people screaming at eachother. Tbh im very closed minded about music. If its not my genre, I wont be listening to it. Just the way it is.
Cholesterol Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 If your ears like it, listen to it, Ignore what anyone else says about it. Over the years I've grown to appreciate countless forms of music, as a result I have a bipolar music taste that goes from The Beatles to Cannibal Corpse
I C0NN0R I Posted January 28, 2010 Posted January 28, 2010 lol cholesterol so true, save for rap, that shit is (mostly) fucking horrible.
