at home gyms

Okay so I am a lightweight weighing in at like 156 and I can flux to welter. Well I would love to remain stable at welter so well since I am very busy and its junior year I am looking to invest into an at home gym because I want to work out but I am busy and Ill use some money I have know plus my christmas cash, no video games this year I REALLY want sirius stuff. Yes I already know about p90x and its not exactly what I am talking about, yes I understand it works as I know coaches at my school use it but you have to keep with an actual schedule and I rather have an at home gym such as the tower 200(what I am looking into) I am also 16.

Okay so of course I have some questions & concerns as I am sure some people here have to like to workout or have something like these at their house.

Questions.

1. What one would you recremmend to a 16 year old my size, and why? Now when you mention an at home gym please keep in mind cost, and of course SIZE, that is probly the two MOST important things as well I live in a big family and I dont have lots of $$$$(well not like high hundreds, maybe)

2. Cost, how much is it?

3. Does it give a GOOD at home work out, to keep me in fighter shape for my age without going body builder crazy and well is it worth the time?

Concerns

1. Okay some of ya'll know my parents are sorta.. Well my concern is with them. This is something I REALLY want and well whenever you see these commcericals for these contraptions, some look too good etc and well they make it seemed like its for people who want to get super ripped. I dont think its really marketed to people my age who are like 16 but really the tower 200 is basically 200 exercises that are on my door and really what I would do at school with my coaches or at a gym, I just dont think my parents dont want me to get too buff but I would like to be stronger for when I start fighting up again in the summer. So really its basically what I would lift in gym class at school, not really different.

2. Cost $$$$ not sure, it says its like $15 to try it(tower200) but really how much are these things to fully own as I never brought one?

Well please remain on topic and discuss this as I would like to know what people think that have used the tower 200 or any other at home gym system, really I am looking at the tower 200 as it seems reasonable and well its small and gives a good work out. Give your ideas and opinions about at home work outs and also how I could settle getting one of these with my parents?

Thanks!

imo, if you're 16, wiegh 156 pounds and by the sound of it you've never actually "lifted" before...i would tell you to put your money back into your pocket at start doing resistent work outs instead of going str8 into it and spend thousands of dollars on a device.

Buy a resistent band and research some good workout online...also some workout you can do on your own -(Push ups , sit ups, pull ups, etc) all good workouts.

Once you've been able to do thoughs and it starts too seem that you dont gain anymore muscle from doing this, you can invest into a at home gym or maybe even a gym membership.

Lol I am a lightweight fighter and yeah I lift, I pick up my 180lbs bro without little issue so I do work out. I am wondering if people have ever used stuff like this and if you get a positive effect if you use it. I work out @ school Ive said that but I dont have the time and I want to stay in shape so I am wondering whats good for at home gyms/workout

get yourself a pullup bar for 20 bucks. I suggest you read up on calisthenics. Eat alot and workout daily. Your only 16, you have great metabolism at this age.

Have you worked out high?

I wanna help you create a good 7 day schedule.

I would personally just get a olympic weight set. The amount of exercises don't really matter, seeing as usually a specific excise works best. Olympic would get you where you want to be the fastest  :nice:

um let me re-explain this. I am a MMA lightweight figther, I already have a weekly routine and such as because I do wrestling at school I HAVE to stay under 172 so really I have to follow what I am already doing. I am just wondering what is a good at home gym to use to train that works good for the money and is decent in size because I dont always have the tim because of BJJ, kickboxing and school to work out.

Mate all you need is a Bench, 2 Dumbells, and if possible and Barbell with a good amount of weights.

Mayb be costly to a point but you deffinately will get your moneys worth if you actually USE them about 3 times a week.

And tbh DON'T neglect bodyweight excersises. They are extremely beneficial at your age. Press-up's, Tricep Dips, Pull/Chin-ups, Crunches. Particiulary if you dont want to gain a large amount of weight. I did bodyweight excersises more than you could imagine when I was training to be in the royal marines. Even though I choose a diffrent path (football) I still do not regret doing it, huge improvements everywhere, and that was before the serious lifting.

masturbation. Once every hour. Switch hands.

Like katalyst would say that is not exercise that is an antidrug.

Well really I dont have room for a bench but basically the tower is res and can go up to 120lbs of res on each side, I have the money and try it out and see if not then Ill get a bench and dumbells. And no I already workout so like you said I dont neglect them I am just trying to find a way where I can do it from my home effeicently because of my busy life.

Bench Press.

Dumbells.

And a Curlbar is you want, there quite cheap.

I am 17 (as of today) 6ft2in. I weight 110Kg.

There is nothing wrong with BBing, I can send you my home wokout if you want.

And you NEVERFCUKINGEVER do BBing for fighting if you think it's going to help you be a good fighter? unless your doing conditioning or something.
