LieV2 Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 PLEASE DON'T SPAM WITH +1's or OFF TOPIC COMMENTS So after 500,000(!) people did their team selection for Euro starting team, here was the most popular team: I actually really like this team, think it works very well & was even better than the selections we individually came up with. It has a very solid defensive unit, which was always our weakest point & I don't think we are lacking any options when attacking with this team. Please post your thoughts and opinions below.
Rites Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I feel Rooney is so inconsistent in basically every game tbh
LieV2 Posted May 17, 2016 Author Posted May 17, 2016 I feel Rooney is so inconsistent in basically every game tbh I feel in this formation he is easily replaced if having a bad game with the likes of Wilshire, Townsend, Drinkwater, Sterling or anyone in those midfield roles.
ell pro Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 looks pretty good, I'm not a big fan of Rooney. He isn't that good anymore like he was a few years ago
Liam Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Walker at CB is just a disaster waiting to happen. I hope we play 41212 but with no wingers.
Briggsy Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 5 at the back? Playing Walker at centre back? LMFAO.Fkin ell. Back 4 picks itself - Clyne, Cahill, Smalling, RoseRooney in midfield (he'll HAVE to pay, and I'm not playing him instead of kane/vardy/alli)alongside Dier,Alli sat in behind Vardy and Kane
Able Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 (edited) 5 defenders and Walker at centrehalf? No thanks This team is WAY too defensive for me. Edit: Lacks creativity too. Edited May 17, 2016 by Able
Callum Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 5 at the back? Playing Walker at centre back? LMFAO. Fkin ell. Back 4 picks itself - Clyne, Cahill, Smalling, Rose Rooney in midfield (he'll HAVE to pay, and I'm not playing him instead of kane/vardy/alli) alongside Dier, Alli sat in behind Vardy and Kane Thats what I was thinking. Not sure how Milner gets picked to go either
Benny The Leak LMAO Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 (edited) Probably the strongest England have looked for a while now from a foreigner's perspective. Can't really argue with the team however, would like to see Sturridge in there, if he's fit and hope Stones is on the bench I would have picked him over Walker at CB lol. Doesn't matter though Griezmann going to show the Euros who's boss... Vive la France! Edited May 18, 2016 by Benny
Yooksi Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Rooney's been doing alright in midfield since playing there so I can def see him starting in that spot because there's no way Roy will have the balls to drop him. Which in a way is still good as there's absolutely no reason Vardy and Kane shouldn't be starting up top
Ben Posted May 22, 2016 Posted May 22, 2016 That's a joke Kyle walker at cb when he's been one of the best raiding forward wing backs in the league all season? Joe hart Clyne smalling Cahill rose Dier Drinkwater Alli Rooney Sturridge Kane Vardy as a sub for me too start with too bring on as an impact player, I'd use the full backs like we have at tottenham all season as the wingers hence two holding midfielders and the central attacking midfielders.
`Ben Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 (edited) Hart Walker/Clyne (depends on who we play), Smalling, Cahill, Rose Dier, Wilshere (Even tho I'm a spurs fan, Wilshere always plays well for England. Maybe Hendo) Sterling, Rooney (has to play in the centre), Alli (Has drifted onto the right with Spurs and done well at points this year) Kane -- Bring Vardy off pitch when games stretched.
