Possiblity of recession from staying and not staying. Leaving won't boost the economy in the same way staying wouldn't have saved it. We have unsustainable polices on immigration, healthcare and prisons that were dictated by the EU. Nobody really knows what's going to happen until it happens, just look at the projections for UK growth that the Tories proposed when they got power.

Growth projections that are about to be slashed again. The UK did very well during its period in the EU. 3

If new labour hadn't given up most of the benefits and power we had in the EU it would probably have been a ludicrous decision to leave for most people.

The main issue was that Blair's labour government decision to open the UK to migration from the new members of the EU at the time (which it didn't have to). The failure to implement any safeguards at this time was a mistake Still shouldn't have EU though. 3
