rune short/long

i can't tell if it's a rune short or a rune long, but is there something good about it? i just fought 2 ppl using it and saw an f2p vid where several were using it.. am i missing out on somehting, or just welfare pkers ?

When i run out of scims i also use longs/swords that i've pked.

Short is fast. hits abit below scimmy. but is pretty good, not as accurate but almost as good hitting as scimmy, and u can pull 2h in a funny way so its a sorta weapon to trick ur enemy.

long hits like 1-2 more than scimmy, but abit slower, faster than b-axe though.. so yeah its like.. a middle thing, pretty shit but not that bad.

The reason people use rune longswords is because it's cheaper than rune scimitar a tad higher, although it's a bit slower. I use rune longswords for F2P trips because the speed isn't AS important, it's just the piling. And using it allows me to buy more returning sets for my money (yea ik i'm not super uber rich)

I sometimes use rune sword and I love it. Its faster and hits like 2 less than ur max with scim.

The appeal behind rune short is that some of the more inexperienced players (those who are most inclined to safe) underestimate its max and sometimes you can catch a safer with their pants down with a good 20+.
