Lagg Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 (edited) Today theres been an issue for many people being unable to launch runescape. Below should be an easy fix to the issue. https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/58ol0w/fix_for_being_unable_to_connect/ FIX for being unable to connect! (self.2007scape) submitted 2 hours ago * by Swankie15 year veteran There's massive DDOS attack going on right now, and it's directed at Dyn DNS servers, which is why you can't load certain websites (twitter, soundcloud, netflix etc.) To fix the issue, simply use a different DNS server. Here's a visual guide, which should work for anyone using Windows 7, 8 or 10. Make sure you choose the connection you're currently using! Make sure to select "IPv4" OpenDNS Preferred: 208.67.222.222 (Only type in the numbers, not "preferred") Alternate: 208.67.220.220 (Only type in the numbers, not "alternate") Google DNS Preferred: 8.8.8.8 Alternate: 8.8.4.4 Google DNS seems to be affected too now, use OpenDNS. To revert back to your default DNS server, simply tick "Obtain DNS server adress automatically" () Edited October 21, 2016 by Lagg
