What history sounds like

Now I know most of you Europeans dont care much for American sports... but maybe this could help put the hype in perspective (for those soccer fans)... The 2014 World Cup final average ticket was about $3,000 (for 1 game.. not a series)... last saturday (game 4) average ticket sold was $3,600.. and there was 7 games this series. 108 year drought (longest in north american sports.. any of them) women couldnt vote the last time the cubs won before this, the ottoman empire was still around, the list goes on. 

 

The Cubs finally won the world series, and this is what it sounded like back home (they were playing in cleveland, but this is a video of wrigleyville in Chi when it happened)
