i have a theory, Guitar hero, then rockband, then band hero (lolwhut), now DJ hero (what the fucking fail). All use the same font for their names, and also have the same kinda names. I reckon they're all made by the same people, as their own competition, to prevent other publishers from releasing rip offs of them as actual competition. Seems logical, and with those names so similar,  + the fonts so similar, it seems like itd be breaching some kind of copyright otherwise.

:mellow: they ARE made by the same people.... they're not in competition with eachother, and they never intended that or intended anyone to think that..because they're owned by the same company, they're making all these variations to apply to a larger audience, not to be in competition with their other games. Rockband is made by a different company but the instrument controllers are made by the same company as the Guitar Hero people

They ARE in competition lol, GH and RB are two different games by two different companies, it's just that they run on the same music engine (Harmonix). As for the companies themselves, Rockband is made by MTV+EA and GH is made by Activision.

The point of the game is to have fun while playing it. Not to teach how to be a dj.

+ some songs are pretty good.
