Maul timing..?

I have a question about maul timing.. I consider myself an experienced pker, especially with pures. Having had 3 very successful pures in the past, I've always done well with switches. Dh-axe from skim, dds, ags switches, knives to xbow, etc.. For the life of me I can't seem to switch to maul and get the streamline hits that I see in some of these videos. Idk if it's because I'm constantly lagging (Shitty pc, really need a new one.) or if it's just my timing in general. I use F-keys, so I know it's not that. Can anyone with experience shed some light on this?

EDIT: this was prompted by steroids' vid. around 1:30-1:50 where he barrge to maul koes some kid. Was perfect timing and I can't figure it out.

Nah it's not you they put a very very slight delay, it's still doable, just not perfectly instant as it was before.

My point was that the hits are the same, but the switching has been nerfed. You can't do those epic obbymaul/gmaul combos etc anymore

have maul rightclicked press f1 then click spec twice as soon as maul weilds, then it follows by another hit meaning alot harder to avoid/ph neck out of

I fail to see whats funny about that? Maybe a little less elitest attitude would do you well. Obviously pressing the special button isn't the issue, it's the timing that's the issue.

My favorite combo with g maul thats always works is rune knifes to rune c bow ( dragon bolts e) to g maul spec. U  basically click c bow then click them while in this time right clicking maul with f5 then jamming spec. If lucky you'll get a cute ko. GL bro  o.O

As long as its left click I find tht it can be alot easier to do certain combo's such as this one and obby-gmaul, dbow-maul etc, without using function keys.

However what this guy saw me do, barrage-maul, is always easier using them.

When you do dt it reverses, right click for one cast left click for autocast
