Ghost in the Shell

Anyone else seen the new Ghost in the Shell movie? thoughts?

 

I was very positively surprised, having seen the 1995 original I did not expect much but it was actually worth paying for.

I've heard it is visually stunning but that's about the extent of it. It looked interesting, so i'm sure i'll watch it at some point but yeah reviews haven't been the best for it.

Visually it was really really well made, the story side is a bit hard to explain, but it's an interesting concept and it keeps you intrigued throughout the film. Reviews have been mediocre and it's not been even close to meeting the hype in the U.S. which surprised me because it wasn't bad at all.
