Kaz`Poke Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 I currently record with the ol' shitty Camtasia 7 Studio (Editor & Recorder). It's supposedly the paid version, although I got for free if you feel me... However; This is the same fucking software I first ever recorded and edited any YouTube video's with. What's more up to date? Free/Paid? What do you guys use? How can I get it? If possible, can I get it for free? Etc; Etc; I'm just curious as to new options for better quality / better edits. Camtasia is shit for edits I'd say, I'm okay with the recorder since I'm familiar w/ it and can still render 720p HD vids. Provide links if you can so I can check out anything you guys mention. If there are any guides, please direct me for this subject. Thanks guys.
Shoan Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Camtasia and vegas Maybe try recording option in exilent client idk
Chops Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Sony Vegas for editing but idk if you can get the full version for free, probably can if u look for it 1

infamous Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 Camtasia 8 worked best for me, camtasia 9 you can't untick mantain aspect ratio so unfortunately for runescape you end up with black bars, camtasia 8 doesn't have that problem. you can record with pretty well anything, I normally use for RuneScape and Other games either Nvidias capture software, camtasia recorder or fraps. Videopad is also a decent free editor.
Kaz`Poke Posted May 7, 2017 Author Posted May 7, 2017 Sounds like OBS Studio and Sony Vegas are at the top for editing. I have OBS Studio, just haven't familiarized myself with it. Think I'll just stick to Camtasia 7 for recording. Considering OBS Studio is already installed, maybe I'll look for some tutorials or something on editing with it.

Bills Posted May 7, 2017 Posted May 7, 2017 OBS is free and completely customizable, a great option for recording but I wouldn't use obs studio to edit. If you want a solid editing software that's easy to use I would just get a cracked version of the latest sony vegas or if you want to go crazy with the editing I would suggest adobe after effects cc.
