It doesn't, mage accuracy is strictly calculated off the spell you're using and your mage bonus

Extra mage levels affect your mage def (70% mage lvl 30% def lvl split) and trident max hit, overloads in NMZ would only make sense if you're <75 mage and can't cast fire wave
