20 def

When did you guys stop taking 20 def? Seems weird. I don't get the obsession with 1 defense. 1 defense pures are only better when they're not fighting an initiate pure who has the same stats. That's just mathematics. Evenly matched, but one has more bonuses. It's not an opinion. Not trying to come off aggressive, just seems weird or have I misread something? I'm 99 rng 99 str 95 hp 86 mage (lol) 20 def 75 attk

About a 2 months ago or so we went back to 1-5 def.

I just don't see how an initiate pure would be cancer. I would argue it's the best possible setup when maxed, you're far enough away from 110+'s and so, but you're close enough to the 70's, sitting right in the middle at 92 when maxed. You get mystic, hit higher than all 1 def's, more resilient than all 1 defs, and so on.

I can understand cutting out 25 def's and 30 defs tho because they're really PVM pure builds which is just backwards.

Higher combat level meant clans brought mains with them therefore causing a shit trip.

Maybe in clanning. I know plenty of initiate pures and again, initiate pures are superior in every single aspect of the game when maxed with perhaps an exception to clanning under the right circumstances. Because you are only talking about a 5 level difference.

Eh, you're exaggerating the difference between combat levels of maxed initiates and maxed 1 def. It's a sum of 5, maybe even less.

What you forget most of the community was 30 defence and over 100 combat one of the reasons for the 1-5 def

I didn't forget that at all. I've only been talking about 20 defense.

Yea, but its not that simple man. Once the community stop to be strict in terms of defence levels, it goes out of control. 

 

Let's say clans go 20 defence again. They will accept 22 defence. Then 25.. and then 30.. 39... Its cancer. 

 

Its hard for the maxed ones that has 20 def, I know. But, it was the best move. And the fact that literally ALL the Members from EVERY respectful clan is 1-5 defence and you are all fighting as real pures, its awesome.

Yeah but they're not high combat. A maxed 1 def is 87 while a maxed 20 is 92.

5 levels isn't good enough on a main. A main isn't even competition until past 110 and likely they'll be deep enough to hit you too.

A 110 or below is going to be wearing mystic, which is what the initiates will have. Rune or barrows is just a barrage magnet.

 

I just think you're severely exaggerating that point. It isn't applicable to a 20 defence. A 30 sure, but not 20.

I did not recall a single initiate 20 def maxed at 88 cb in foe.  Not one. 

 

We all had 25-30 def and 70+ prayer ranging cbs 100-108. 

 

When i say all i mean the majority so about a good ~90%

 

Point is there are no pure clans whom accept 20 def (besides aao but they blow). If you are truly interested in pure clanning I suggest you make a pure ;')
