potted veng - 78 cmb.. is it worth it?

After I'm finished getting void on my rune ranger, I'm planning on alching 89 mage for potted veng. is it worth getting if i can only pot it?

Stats are

61 attack

70 str

87 range

42 def

78hp.

44 prayer

and 27 summoning.

and 82 mage.

I can only get 89 mage without leveling, so just wonderd if its worth getting if i can only pot. :\

get it and then when you train your strength up get 94 so you won't be mage based.

IDK why you'd want to gimp yourself.. Potting then venging takes up 2 turns and the pot only lasts for a few seconds. Imo, 61 80 42 with 93 range / 94 mage (assuming you did it by alching or some other non-hp way) with 83 hp, is only 82 combat. it's not too much higher, really.. And well worth being able to veng w/o potting.

I'm planning on going for maxed range tank, with 94 mage, 99 range 75 att,str,def, and w/e hp i have.

You need 90 mage to pot self veng. The level 93 veng spell can only be casted on others (someone correct me here if I'm wrong).

But if you are going to remain a low level pker, I would suggest using ice barrage instead of veng.

You obviously didn't understand my post. Potting then venging takes away from your timing. Veng should be timed, not just thrown out there. Potting signifigantly decreases your ability to time a veng ko.

Magic potions give you a 5 level boost, not 4.

And I'm not a pure, im already 42 def on the account.

Got the answer I'm looking for, I'll just alch to 94 mage. then Equalize it out with range through slayer, I'll lock this now.
