Gay marriage?

Here's my two cents.

Marriage = Religious institution between a man+woman.

Civil Unions = For gay people, no religious connotation on this one, just a recognized relationship by the government with the same tax benefits as marriage, but not legally called a marriage.

So there we go. Problem solved, back to my rock.

Gay marriage should be allowed. There is no "Sanctity" to marriage. There's no such thing as traditional marriage, as marriage has evolved (unarguably for the better) over the years. Banning gay marriage would be enforcing one rule in a bible, whilst so many other rules from the bible are ignored.

I'm pretty sure what a lot of Christians preach is that God loves all people on Earth and is ever forgiving, however the act of not letting people marry because of their sexual preferences in some churchs' disproves that. Anyone who has a problem with gay marriage is a fool, it doesn't effect you you're complaining for no reason.

Religion changes with the people, but the bases stay the same:

- MAN + WOMAN =  :nice:

- WOMAN + WOMAN =  (n)

- MAN + MAN =  (n)

if they want to live together, great w/e. They can even have the same status regarding the law.

but they will never have the same status as heterosexual couples regarding the church.

But they should be able to have the same status regardless of the gender issues. The fact that people are discriminated against because a book says so is ludacris, especially when there's no proof of the bibles validity.

Yeah I think religion is for people who just like to talk to themselves and call it praying.

So if they want they can do whatever they want, it's a free society. Let them do whatever.
