Should be legally recognized by the government, but not by the catholic church, that simple pretty much.  I see no problem with gays getting married, they can't help the way they feel, and i'm sure if they were given a choice they definently wouldn't have chose to be gay.  And if your christian, you should believe that god created them that way, so obviously there not mistakes or evil or w/e you'd call em.  I know a few gay people and there all really nice and cool, so stop putting down the gays, let em do whatever the fuck they want.

My family raised me as a catholic, but as we all know when you start to grow up you realize things and form your own opinion on different subjects. So here's my take.

If a "gay" person is part of a catholic or Christian church, then no, because they would be violating the religion they choose to follow.

If they are part of a different religion or no religion at all, then yes, it's fine, but in the end it comes down to what the said individual does.

That's just my take :) I don't discriminate or hate against anyone :p

Anyways, I believe that everyone has a right to be happy. Anyone should have the right to get married whether you are homosexual or not. If your religion states otherwise, well good for you. Other people are none of your business. Yes I do not really like to socialize with a gay person. It makes me feel uncormfortable. But that does not in anyway negate the fact that everyone has the right to be happy. That`s like saying black people should not be equal. That`s great if you 15 year olds or 16 year olds are little immature homophobes. I have been there before.

They can be happy without getting married... And getting married in the Catholic church really contradicts the religion itself  so yeah...

I personally don't care about it, gays can do whatever they want unless they cause me harm.

The reason why i don't think it's right is because it shows that religion is bullshit... You have gays getting married in the catholic church, the priests molesting little boys, etc.
