Dennisvp Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 Hey guys, At the end of May I will be going to New York as a study trip for my Masters in Financial Management. After this, I will be going to Washington with my girlfriend. I am checking for the best way to travel from NY to DC but I get different suggestions. What is in your opinion the best way to travel? I will be on Sunday the 2nd of June. Thanks in advance! Dennis
Jordai Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 Not from that part of the world and I'm not sure what would be the best method of travelling, BUT, Good fucking luck man i'm sure you'll smash it!
Austin Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 ooo gl, and as for travel either Plane, or Bus. I would assume Plane more viable though
Gibbo Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 (edited) gl and hf; plane / train prob idk. Edited May 7, 2018 by Gibbo
Brap Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 I always imagine if @Demais was born in a 1st world country his name would translate to Dennis. Enjoy ur trip Dennis.
Xander Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 (edited) Done this trip 5+ times in the past 6 months. Found that Amtrak is by far the best option. If you book your trip now, it should be relatively cheap ($100?) Flying is not worth it for the $200+ round trip ticket. Bus is by far your cheapest option, but you'll be sitting in an uncomfortable as hell seat, with some borderline homeless person next to you for 5 hours or so. I used the site "Wanderu.com" to check out deals on things. Edited May 7, 2018 by Xander

W3` Posted May 7, 2018 Posted May 7, 2018 It looks like it’s only around a 4 hour drive. That’s about the same amount of time from my house all the way down past Chicago and I take that drive like 5 times a year for concerts. Split the gas with your girl and it should be the cheapest and most convenient cuz while your in dc you can be mobile on your own time and not be restricted.
Dennisvp Posted May 7, 2018 Author Posted May 7, 2018 Wow so many reactions, thanks guys! I think I will rent a car as it is even cheaper than 2 train tickets $168 a person. Thanks for all the advice!
