Question/Advice About Looting Kills In BH Worlds

The last few days have been particularly frustrating for me, and I was wondering if there are any clear alternatives to the problem I've been having.

I only fight targets, so when I get a kill, I like to pick up the loot. What's been happening though, is I've been getting PJed and dying during/after I loot my kill.

I am 1 Defence and 31 Prayer.

These are a few examples of what has happened:

1.] I killed targ 1v1 in multi (east of edge, above G.E.) I was low food, so I banked at G.E. full food and returned to loot my kill. When I got to the pile, I was frozen by my old-target's friend, and my old target clawed me. I eventually died with the loot.

2.] I decided to never go to multi again, so this time I went west of edge (near the wine of zammy altar) I killed my Targ with 3-4 food left, and ran out of wild before looting. I knew there was a PJer around, but it was too far away to bank and the run back. I ran in again with full HP and was frozen and killed again.

I don't want to use teles, and it's extremely frustrating to wait an hour+ for a target and then lose the reward.

Is there anything I can do/try to do to prevent this? Does this happen to anyone else on a regular basis?

Also, I have looted in the ~10 seconds after a kill where you can't be PJed, but usually only 1-2 items can be collected then.

i get pjed almost every kill, luckily i survive most of the time.

Why don't you fight targets in Edge level 2-3? When you kill them, you run into safe zone, get some food off the bank and safely loot. They won't be able to attack you for 5 secs after you kill your targ.

pk with friends around u, this will help with getting food when ur low and keeping the vultures away. also this barely ever happened to me and when it did i make sure that they dont forget it :p

I don't want the 2 combat levels that would come with prayer, or with Summoning.

I guess I could bring 2-3 Brews but that's probably not going to help significantly.

Also, I do bank and re-fill with food, but in 1.] I still got piled and in 2.] I was too far away to be able to loot.

10 secs is more than enuff to get the good loot.. Pick it up first. Then bank lol.

tbh use a charged glory and use tele 2 edge? idk if thats NH but i only use it for after looting.

get higher prayer and barrage them and stand under them to heal if ur getting pj.

If you haven't checked 4/5 other replies, I'd like to remain 31 prayer. And 1.] Why would they stand on my pile if they were attacking and 2.] I'm only 82 mage and have no plans on raising to 94.

lol i had the same problem when i was 11 prayer had to get the ole 43 pray

Get sum, u wont up cbs unless ur using it , wich can be good so u dont get teamed by your targs friends ect.
