Convincing and persuading? Boys, girls and its what do y'all think? I feel like there is a difference for example, you have to convince the judge you're not guilty you don't persuade them.

Convince = someone doesn't believe, so you convince them.  Entailed to belief.

Persuade = someone doesn't want to do, so you persuade them.  Entailed to action.

Depending on context of course.

But do you persuade the judge or convince?

I think, Convincing is like making someone see your point of view on a topic ect, but not making them doing anything and Persuading someone would be making them do something once you've convinced them of your point of view for whatever. If that makes sense lol
