OSRS Mobile is released - How far can Oldschool go?

As everyone probably knows, OSRS was released on mobile devices today, resulting in 91k players playing currently;

 

 

^ This is the biggest OSRS has hit so far if I ain't wrong. (and it's still rising as of making this topic)

 

Compare it to the original client back in the year of 2007;

 

 

I can already tell that this new app will bring a lot of new/old players back to the game with the right kind of advertises. 

 

So a few questions for ya'll.

How far can OSRS go? Will you be playing on mobile? Will we hit 200k playing one day again?

No chance will it stay at them numbers just a huge spike because its new... give it a week or 2 and come back to it! also i can imagine playing rs on ur phone will be so hard loool good update tho i guess

I think it'll bring back a lot of old faces and possibly new players to the game as it makes training more efficient, but do I think OSRS will hit the 200k number again? Not even close.

Keep in mind getting around 90k was not imaginable when it was released back in 2013. A lot of people that have forgot about the game's existance might see this app and try it out. Not saying we'll hit 200k.. but you could always hope.

Wouldn't be shocked if the game maintains 100k+ assuming this takes off but it won't be like an 05/06 100k, it'll just be people afking low effort stuff while they're at work or alting it up for extra cash.

I think we can stay around 100k. My guess is that the majority of the users will be people that already play - the app allows people to play in places like on planes, outside, at work, etc..

mobile runs great, just won't be able to do really difficult/ fast pace stuff on it because of the size and pressing with finger tips. but will be great for afk skilling.
