Australia and learning to drive

Okay so I had to just happen to live in the most fail state for learning to drive.

I'm almost 18 and in order to get my license I need to have a certain number of hours added to my Driving Log - Where I live, however. The state requires that I have to drive a total of 120 hours which includes mileage and times starting from when I got in the car and when I stop driving.

What bugs me though, other states only require something small like 50 hours.

God I hate Victoria.

Discuss.

im probably down to 80 or so, it's so shit having someone sitting next to me telling me to do stupid shit. Also you cant have friends do it, because the person with you has to have been driving for at least 3 years.

It's so easy to get it here. You just have to write down a bunch of fake hours on a piece of paper and take a really easy test. One of my questions had a picture of a 55 mph speed limit sign. "What does this sign mean?"

The sad thing is that I was the only one out of a group of 10 to pass it....

I dominated my test, without practicing much. That was a few years back.

Just fake the hours if you can, as long as you're a decent driver.. you should be fine.

In Canada you can only go for your G2 (Liscence acter learners) after waiting 5 months lol, like you don't need a specific amount of hours or anything  B)

Here in the US it's 50 hours in most places I believe.  120 sounds like overkill.

The day I turned 16 I walked into the DOT and got my license without even taking a test. I had to take drivers ed last summer for a week or so, and I had to get my permit by taking a test that was simple.

USA has it easy :P
