`SZN Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 Since @Cody9204 made a topic wanting to build a PC for gaming I would love to see everyone's current setup and changes they plan on doing this year wanting to change in 2019 monitors, I need to get the same monitors so get a true dual setup going again & will possibly go with https://www.bestbuy.com/site/msi-oculux-nxg251r-24-5-led-fhd-g-sync-monitor-black/6303801.p?skuId=6303801 CPU, I haven't changed it since buying it and know theres much better out there in the i9 family but down to two choices https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i9-9900K-Desktop-Processor-Unlocked/dp/B005404P9I & https://www.amazon.com/Intel-i7-8700K-Desktop-Processor-Unlocked/dp/B07598VZR8 also inb4 "where's the SSD?!" not happening lol also is what I used for my benchmark of my setup 1
Slothy Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 (edited) https://imgur.com/a/OIegKdI Was a bit sketched by my temps but checked with Core Temp and CPU is running at about 60 with two clients running among VLC and a virtual machine. Currently got a 28 inch 4k monitor sitting in my bedroom along with a Nitro+ Vega 64 ready to go in. Ram is showing as unknown but is Corsair LPX 3200. I did not know they did 4GB 1080 I thought minimum for them was 8GB? tf Edit: Added specs to attachment, hyperlink being fucky. Edited January 3, 2019 by Slothy 1

Samsung always expensive af I was originally going with the UD Pro 512GB by Gigabyte so I switched to this one after it jumped back up to $98. I did a little lookie-loo and saw the prices fluctuate quite a lot and quite often going up and down around $30 every week. The only factors I want in an SSD is 500+GB and for it to be some sort of black color so the list is slim:

This build is starting to get pretty old, replaced my old amd gpu last year with the gtx 1060 6gb, which has done wonders together with my new G-sync monitor which is 180 Hz OC'ed. Planning on getting new cpu and motherboard this year, with hopefully 32 GB+ RAM. Not sure about which cpu and motherboard to go for yet tho. Keyboard: Logitech g710+(mechanical) Mouse: Logitech hyperion fury g402 Headset: Hyper X Cloud II SZN, have you tried OCing your CPU? 3,50 GHz sounds pretty low for a CPU like that?
