Prayer Dilemma

Hello Team,

 

I have a dilemma. 99 attack is quickly approaching, and I'm still 47 prayer (all quested). I had originally thought to stop at 52 prayer in case I decide to turn my account into a zerker (oh no!). Then I started thinking about all of the progress I made whilst struggling with 1 defense. To solve this, I made a new account and started questing it to be a zerker. That's one concern scratched out.

 

The next concern was brief--I can't be in edgeville wilderness (excluding PvP) with 99 prayer one defense because I'm going to get wrecked by any account at 100cb with 70+ defense; HOWEVER, I don't pk in p2p edgeville wilderness. Moving on.

 

My current concern, and the real dilemma at hand, is that with the six combat levels that come with 47 prayer levels (52-99), my PvP combat range will become 86-116. With 52 prayer, it will be 80-110. That 80 to 86 jump will prevent me from fighting a LOT of pures; e.g., I won't be able to fight the account build Go Hard has.

 

The final concern, and it's not very important--but worth mentioning--is that going 52-99 prayer will greatly negatively affect my chances of winning fights in f2p Edgeville, The Wilderness, and PvP.

Get high pray since you’re already nearly 99 att

In the wilderness you will be kidnapped and tortured with reasonably high combat and 1 defence. If you are going for 99 Attack, you want to be making use of it. Being able to use strong melee weapons is awesome when fighting 1 defence accounts but you are going to get smited with that low prayer. Get atleast 70+ prayer and drink up them prayer pots.

the higher prayer is better since you’re already high attack. I would have prioritized higher prayer rather than attack but that is my personal preference

yeah, 99 pray and 75 attack is better than 99 atk  52 pray

If you get 70+ you may as well just get 99

Thank you for the replies. I just had an epiphany in reading what I wrote. I could get 77 prayer for 98 combat, and my PvP range would be 83-113. Then I would be able to fight maxed 60attack accounts in pvp.

The dilemma was being able to fight account builds such as maxed 60 attack pures in PvP. I just figured out having 77 prayer let's me fight those maxed 60 attack pures in pvp.

6 cbs is nothing anyway, u alrdy got 99 atk which ain't ideal for 1 v 1 pk, so get 75/99 pray imo

Yea, I decided 77 is good. I'll be able to fight 83cb in PvP if I have 77prayer. Also won't spend my bank on 99 Zzzz

By bracket in PvP, do you mean the -/+ 15 combat level range I can attack? I was hoping to only fight 1-25 defense accounts ?

99 pray is like around 100m i believe if u do poh. Do it in a party world so the burners are always lit or take the cheaper way with chaos altar.

dragon bones, it supposed to save half so maybe. I always trained gmt morning and few pkers there at that time.

You'll find plenty of zerks meds mains etc. in that bracket in PvP worlds, you'll have to avoid a lot of your potential opponents just limiting yourself to 1-25 ones
