Acclaimed|Jordan Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 good shit, anything with music is expensive. i have over 3K in this setup :/ each mackie srm450 costs $500 :/

Low grade mackie mixers suck balls. (-$1000) I don't see how you can say it's shit without knowing the brand, when my quality proves it isn't. EDIT: Nice set up val. I'm not in to djing though.
Creamie pies Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Lol your song is booty :D Ive had alesis mixer before for small gigs and they are poop
lntoxicating Posted March 11, 2010 Author Posted March 11, 2010 Lol your song is booty :D Ive had alesis mixer before for small gigs and they are poop Lol? No mixing except compression and reverb. the quality is great. I doubt you've done anything remotely related to playing live or recorded in anything resembling a studio. Your lack of knowledge and no proof only backs my thoughts.

Like I said I will post pictures when I can.
lntoxicating Posted March 11, 2010 Author Posted March 11, 2010 soooo you put cds in the cd player and turn the speakers on? lol. EDIT: on a serious a note, a mixer for djing and mixer for pure vocals are different. I mean, they can be the same... But usually for just vocals there doesnt need to be as many ins/outs and aux sends. So what might not work for djing may work perfect for vocals. There's a lot of factors. All I know is this mixer is great, lol. It's not top of the line but it's perfect for home studio applications.
Cholesterol Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 My set up is a earphone cable connecting my guitar to the computer and a copy of Fruityloops, low budget for life :Hi:
Bows 0n Fire Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Looks cool. You're not bad, work on some songs and I may download one to put on my iPod :o

As I said, this wasn't mixed at all. Just raw vocals to see how my mic sounds :D rofl@cholesterol. I was the same way until a few weeks ago, dude.. I had a $90 usb mic and a cracked copy of audition 2.0.

And if anything I use cdj's and for my small gigs I use a numark cd/mixer combo.
Cholesterol Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 You'd be suprised with the results you can get on a low budget :D :D if you're good at EQ'ing you can make a song sound killer!!!. Unfortunately I'm not though so I just slap compressors onto things for extra beef and boost some of the high frequencies :(

There's a hiphop artist by the name of Cage that did a whole album with a $5 walmart mic. It sounded great too. Just shows what mixing skill can do. For myself, I'm not too great at mixing. But I bought a DVD that should help. It's an instructionl vid they use in audio engineering classes, lol.
