Anyone else have a Dad who thinks they know how computers and the internet work? But really, in the end they just fail and take forever at what they're trying to do.

Dad was like "IMA FIND THIS SONG FROM THIS MOVIE" so he goes online and takes forever. Mum comes in and tells me to get it for him, within 2 seconds, I'm on YouTube and buffering the song (Moon River).

Dad goes into his "I was getting there" stage.

Also, he takes forever to type.

My computer crashes, dad says he doesn't feel like it, I ask him for the install disc of Windows. He says I'll fuck up and that he will do it next weekend.

A day later I find the disc, put it in my computer, click on fix and I'm done.

My dad wouldn't even have noticed the fix button and would have reinstalled my whole computer again which takes a while and would have made me lose all my programs and all my other shit.

I'm really glad I found it before he got to it in the weekend. He's fucking retarded.

So true. When I was on the shared computer, my dad refused to let me change parts. Nor did he understand anything about changing them.

My dad is pretty decent with computer to be honest. I'm better so whenever were upgrading shit in his i'll be there being like "ahh you should buy this because so and so" "or go here" but he at least knows what's going on.
