Clan Hoppers

Alright first of all I am not going to point my fingers at anyone or any clan.

From my experience in clans you generally have the following reasons for quitting a clan:

Trolls

Flamers

Leadership

Better clans

Friends

Lack of discipline in members

I am pretty sure there are a few other reasons, but that gets down to the generalization of it.

Now to my rant...

I absolutely hate it when people quit a clan because another clan is better. I hate it. It truly shows that the player cannot learn to adapt and overcome obstacles. There is no point in clan hopping to another clan just because they are better (let me tell you why). There will always be bad and good days for trips, minis, preps, wars, etc. ALWAYS. You're not going to win them all. It just astounds me that people would leave for that reason. What happens when the clan you join loses to another clan? Are you going to quit and join that clan too?

I hate it when people say they're going to quit a clan because of trolls/flamers without talking to the person and/or leadership first. If you want something solved you need to get it dealt with. Running away from your problems will never solve them (for the most part lol). What if there are people just like the people you dislike in another clan? What if they have new members that join that clan that are just like them or even worse? Every community out there has people you like and dislike. There will always be people you like and dislike in SOME way(s). If somebody is THAT bad then you need to atleast take the time to talk it out before you rage quit.

Joining and leaving clans with friends. I'm not going to say leaving and joining a clan because of your friend is right or wrong because lets face it... they're your friend. But while you're in the clan with them you should make it an obligation to make new friends. What's the point of joining a clan if you don't even get to know the members of the clan?

I dislike it when people leave clans because of leadership. It could be because the leadership made a mistake on the forums or in game. Everyone makes mistakes and people must learn to accept it. No one is perfect and I guarantee you every clans leadership has made a mistake every once in awhile.

Lack of discipline... lets face it there are always going to be new faces joining clans. People come and people go. It's a neverending cycle. You must accept that some people don't fully understand the concepts of clans and how they work. People need experience in order to learn and sometimes that can take people a lot longer than others. You really need to take the time to talk to the members of a clan before you go rage quitting and joining another clan because it has more experienced members. Who knows maybe the person that needs experience may even become better than you... :P

well lets face it. For most of the scapers runescape is still a game and not srs business. They dont want to hang around with flaming trolls as leaders. They dont want fucked up pk trips over months. Most of em dont want to put any effort into their clans. Thats just how it is.

I dislike Clanhoppers, personally ive been loyal to Ascendency ever since i first joined in 2007 until it closed in 2009.

But i can understand those clanhoppers; They just want fun and thats why most of the time they join a higher/better clan. There are lots of different personalities on Rs, as leader of a clan you just have to accept that. Every clan has its crucial members who stick with the clan all the time, but every clan needs normal members aswell. So dont blame them, but use them!

I used to be called a Clan Hopper. Which I do not deny, it's just a game. People try to find what suites them best, some may find sticking to the same group of people more satisfying than others. But in reality, this is all what it is. A game.

Since you want to know so much about me I got scammed 30 dollars by the forum owner for buying FI a homepage (see there isn't one after 3 months of buying the homepage?) and essentially got 30 dollars stolen from switching to Ventrilo from Teamspeak 3. I left because the forum owner will never be punished for anything because they like their forums too much.

OT:I didn't read much either. Basically you said (I think), you hate people leaving a clan because of valid reasons. If the clan is shit shocking, you loose more money than you gain and forced to go to trips and don't enjoy them, quit the clan. If you're not enjoying it then gtfo the clan :/
