And for me, I started playing Runescape late in 2006 after hearing about it from some friends. I liked it, then quit.. then slowly got dragged back into it. Today I play the game only because I like it, I have friends and can balance my life to fit in work, school etc. So to answer the topic question, no :)

I started in like 7th grade (I'm a senior now), with some friends. Everyone eventually quit, when my old account got banned, I didn't tell anyone my new account, I just 'quit with the rest of em'. Closet scaping to this day, FOE keeps me playing.

Closet Scaping isn't the way to go :mellow:

Runescape is always more fun when you have real life friends who play. You just got to find the right balance of IRL socialising (that doesn't involve Runescape) and Scaping. I'm sure your friends won't care that you play, because honestly... it's very possible one/some of them still play ;)

100% agree, i used to be exactly like that, then one day i told someone in Chem that i would DDS them and they are like Ohh in runescape, We both told eachother 'we quit' but now we both play. And hes not a nerd.

Na definately not..I started when I was in middle school and like mostly everyone I got addicted..then kept on playing. I don't tell me friends I scape but its just the addiction that keeps me playing..hopefully I can quit sometime in the future and get away from all this 'online gaming'.
