no need. just a want. there's a bunch of neat stuff to do once its jailbroken. some is just appearance some is quality of life. did mine and it took like 2mins start to finish/ just installing random stuff and messing around with it now. think there's a way to get paid apps of things like spotify/ youtube etc also but haven't looked much into that yet

went from the 7 to the xs max like a year ago and don't plan on getting another for atleast another year. i'll prob stay apple though, just like their interfaces /aesthetic more.
