No, you won't be able to DDOS with your single computer because that hasn't worked in years because of bandwidth which allows for huge amounts of packets to be sent between computers, and basic security patches across various operating systems. Ping -l doesn't work anymore. You would need a couple of slave computers to DDOS, hardly worth the time and effort.

By the way, I don't see why people would try to DDOS, it is the second most primitive form of hacking, right behind Brute Forcing.
