Hows the shading on this drawing?

I've been having problems with shading i understand the concepts it jsut always looked crap, this i the first decent shading ive done is it ok? how could i improve? also if you would, please could you cc the whole pic :P?

I'm thinking i should take soem transparency off the shading :S

get the burn tool, softest edge possible, set to midtones on about 25%, start brushing in the shadows, then take the dodge tool, about a 40% edge hardness, around the same strength, again set to midtones and add highlights i find this alot easier brushing/smudging colours for highlights because i don't have a tablet.
