ceZa Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 (edited) Hi guys. As a tech guy myself, I love to be updated on tech news wether it comes to new phones, computer parts and what not. I assume there’s more of you guys in here. So my first question, what phone do you have and why? I recently went from a 3 year old Oneplus 7t to the new iPhone 14 pro. With this upgraded I get a way better screen that goes up-to 2000 nits, camera, the new A16 bionic CPU, better battery, wireless charging, 5G and many years with quick updates. Also bought a Xbox series X and will hopeful build a new pc this year since Intels 13 series Raptor Lake is out oct 20th this year, and also AMDs new Ryzen Zen 4 series. For now it looks like the AMD mobos and CPUs are quite expensive though. What do you look forward to this year/next year when it comes to tech? Edited October 11, 2022 by ceZa

Got a bit tired of slow updates and only 3-4 of android updates compared to iPhones 7 years ish. I must say I do like the IOS so far. Feels smooth af and just gr8 overall. 1

So this is your first iphone ever?? I just like iphone because it’s user friendly and really smooth and easy to use. I haven’t had anything that’s not an iphone since my last nokia lol

The overall value and package is just topnotch it seems. Pricey indeed, but so is the premium Android phones as well. Evem Oneplus has went up alot in price and you only get 3 year with big updates which is so lame.

It is pricey yeah but you get what you pay for in my opinion. Wait so what, after 3 years no big updates with androids??
Damned Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 Pc parts are massive scam, spent more on this stupid pc than I have on my cars, FUCK INTEL FUCK SAMSUNG $350 SSD FUCK NVIDEA Team red all the way, $400 motherboard Asrock Taichi still going hard, lasted through all the rape my engineering programs gives it 1
W3` Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 for phones, I'm not spending more than 200 on one. I go through total wireless (some trakphone service) so I'll get w/e phone they have for under $200, usually $150 or on sale at $120. Last time I bought a new phone it was an iPhone 7, $150, $35 a month for service. I'm not one who will want to spend over $1,000 on a new phone and pay it off monthly, I got a computer that costs enough. I just pay right up for a smart phone that works, and pay for service from there. 1
W3` Posted October 13, 2022 Posted October 13, 2022 but i will say i've been thinking of getting a new one, and i'm not sure what number iphone total wireless is offering now, but eventually those newer phones will phase down to cheap status. It would be nice to have those phones with the 5 different cameras that capture in like 4K, and next time i buy i'll get one with a bit more storage, but they aren't necessities for me atm. 1

Still on the iphone red xr, only reason of upgrade was the red thinks thats the last red iphone?
ceZa Posted October 14, 2022 Author Posted October 14, 2022 https://www.androidpolice.com/google-pixel-7-review/ The brand new google pixel 7 pro looks interesting as well tbh, starts at 1k USD so a bit cheaper than the iPhone 14 pro

I normally only use 500-600 usd on a new phone but this time I bought the 14 pro hoping it will outlast my previous Android phones. It’s so important in my life so I thought why not this time.

Unless you got a google pixel/Samsung that gets 4-5 of big updates I think.
Fake Smile Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 Use iphone 12 mini. My first iphone since early days of 3gs back in the day. Always been an android guy. Great phone, couldn't compare to previous androids. Although I do regret buying a mini, I thought it would fit to pockets and gonna be easy to scroll with my thumb - well it is, but very hard to type with such small keyboard. The only downside of a mini. 1

I would be tempted to get a phone that has like, 5 different lens and can take pictures/record at 4K or something. would be nice to have a really good camera without having to buy a separate professional camera. That's one thing that would tempt me to spend a little more. 1

Well this did not end well @W3`l0l. Got my Iphone 14 pro stolen while on vacation w/fam in turkey last summer, smh. Currently using a Samsung S20 Ultra, probs gonna go back to iphone very soon. At least I got my stolen phone covrered by my insurance. Edited April 11, 2024 by ceZa
