Stand Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I like the color scheme and the c4d around the pokemon. Simple is a good way to go with the pokemon sigs (at least the onesĀ that I've found to be easy on the eyes) so good job on simplicity. Few things though, Use that orange-ish color thats on the things cheeks (wth are those? lol). And maybe position your name somewhere else, faded, straight, and in a bottom corner. Good job Dylan, Keep up the good work!
severed arow Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Yeh i agree with stand gj :) but seriously the text is a problem all in all it's pretty good :) your definitely improving
Spin Posted April 16, 2010 Author Posted April 16, 2010 Thanks guys, I changed the text, I suck really bad at it :/ Btw there isnt a c4d :P thanks for helping guys :P
Stand Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Never a need to put yourself down Dylan. Your GFX are exceptional and you have lots of potential. Leave the cynicism to the trolls man. Oh, not a c4d, is that all brushes then? If they are brushes then awesome job not going crazy with them, very well balanced :nice: I like the new placement of the text, this way it does not take attention away from the cool looking pokemon sig! I would suggest making the font smaller :nice: And maybe trying to add that orange somewhere in there? Btw what program are you using to make your work?
Spin Posted April 16, 2010 Author Posted April 16, 2010 Photoshop and im going to sleep ill edit this post with the edit tomorrow. Oh and also.. the stuff you thought was a c4d was smudge+color dodge like 20 times and lots of sharpening
severed arow Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 it might look nice with some orange smudges maybe
I C0NN0R I Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 nothing interests me about it really, needs more contrast
Jef|Ohh Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 might be just me but I liked the original text betterĀ :unsure2:
Spin Posted April 17, 2010 Author Posted April 17, 2010 I cant think of a way to incorporate the orange, help plox, fixing the paleness (is that a word?) atm.
Stand Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 I cant think of a way to incorporate the orange, help plox, fixing the paleness (is that a word?) atm. Hard to picture. I would suggest a layer just above the background with that same shade of orange and then mess with the opacity. Good Luck :nice:
Spin Posted April 17, 2010 Author Posted April 17, 2010 Thanks for the help stand..do you mean like a orange gradient sort of like the blue gradient background... or should i put a lil orange above it with a brush and smudge it around or what? Once again, thanks.
Stand Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 My bad. I wasn't specific enough, sorry. I was thinking a more smudge sharpen sort of deal you have going with the white in the picture already. A full gradient may be too much though. Glad to be of assistance Dylan
Spin Posted April 17, 2010 Author Posted April 17, 2010 Here is what I got, more orange, less orange, opacity change? or idk tbh
Stand Posted April 17, 2010 Posted April 17, 2010 I like the top one. Bottom one has potential though Dylan, try using the fragment effect on the orange layer. play around with that.
Spin Posted April 18, 2010 Author Posted April 18, 2010 Tbh i like the white around the mudkip more :O, im just gunna keep it how it is :P
mlaK Posted April 18, 2010 Posted April 18, 2010 Reliable Sources tells me that you indeed do like Mudkipz.
