Xbox glitch

Basically, I got the thing where when you put in a disk (any disk/game) it says Reading...."Open tray" instead of play w\e game it is.  I called the Xbox place, and some bitch troubleshooted with me, and it still didn't work, and suggested I send it in for 120 bucks.  I really cbf'd doing that.  Chad suggested I make it 3 red rings, so I can send it in for free, cuz it has a 2 or 3 year warranty. 

Please help if you have a solution!

mine does that when it's cold... i leave it on for like 10 mins and turn it off/on again and it works

Does that to me occasionally. But i can usually just restart Xbox then tap the disk tray button, so it opens and closes like 4 times, and the game should load. Try unplugging it, giving the disk a rub and blow etc. Trust me, it works.

could get a new disk drive. but if u got warrenty, rrod it.

i have xbox, and mine had the rings, i send it in took like 2 weeks to get it back, and i got a free year when it was on warrenty :P idk maybe u shud call the xbox place
