SkidooosH Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 so summer is knocking and the grass has started growing like crazy. my friend calls me and tells me his mower isn't working, so i go over and help him fix it. we get the mower running and the day's moving along just fine, there's some tall grass around his shed and he's having to cut it slowly. i'm sitting about 30 ft away making sure the mowers still working while i text this girl back and forth. all of a sudden i hear this "eeep eep eeeep" and i look up and my friend is freaking out, i see something running around and flipping on the ground, i didn't know wtf it was. then i get closer and i'm like wtf is that a mouse? my friend is still freaking out and he's like "no man that's a baby bunny", by this time i'm close enough to see that the top of its skull/head is knocked off and there's blood everywhere.. it's breathing heavily squirming around, and there's another baby bunny that some how didn't get hit sitting there watching the other one breathing. the first thing that pops into my mind is a thread i read a couple weeks back on another forum where the guy put the suffering baby bunny in a plastic bag and threw it into the woods. to suffocate... i wasn't about to be like that, so i quickly grabbed the shovel from the shed. i go to the bunny and it's breathing really heavily, it squirmed a little bit and i heard it make some sort of noise. then i place the shovel over it's neck and finish it. the other bunny is behind just staring at me. not moving, or looking away, just staring. so i look down and its head is off, there's blood all over the shovel.. i had planned to bury it, but i freaked out and tossed it into the trees hoping some animal of the night would take care of it. the other bunny is still gazing at me, piercing my eyes. so i put the shovel back and go inside. the next day i drove by my friends for a few minutes, and while i was parking my car, i noticed a grown up bunny (mother?) sniffing around the area where the incident happened.. the bunny looked like this even though i didn't initially kill it.. putting down a baby bunny has to be the greatest sin/evil/crime in the history of mankind feels bad man cliffs: -helping friend fix mower -tall grass -he hits a baby bunny while im watching -top of its skull is gone -another baby bunny is watching the whole thing -it's "eep"ing and squirming and breathing heavily -remember reading a thread on another forum about a guy putting a suffering bunny in a plastic bag and decide that's f'd up -i grab a shovel and finish it off -freak and throw it in the woods (wanted to bury but the site was too gruesome) -other baby bunny is still staring at me -next day a mother bunny is sniffing around the scene, hopping back and forth -feelsbadman inb4 that was a riveting tale phaggot

VxT Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 even though i didn't initially kill it.. putting down a baby bunny has to be the greatest sin/evil/crime in the history of mankind Hardly, putting something out of its misery isn't a bad thing if it's going to die anyway.

Jim Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 My cat brought in a massive crow one time, they'd ripped it to shreds. I should have done the same as you but I didn't the heart, I wrapped it in a towel and took it to the vets, crying in the taxi all the way. When I got inside the vet looked at me like 'What the fuck are we supposed to do?', which was a reasonable reaction considering half his face was missing, ended up paying about £20 for them to put it down.
