Ethan|Unicornz Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 actually pretty nice for a first try, make sure your layer opacity and blending mode aren't whats causing the transparency. good color choice/background, try adding a layer mask on the focal so it blends a bit, add a border and maybe some more effects. keep going!
To Idolize Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Erase the strokes on the main focal. Then lower the opacity on the erase tool and erase on some lighter areas. None the less, that's quite a good start.

Not bad, i think it kind of looks like some kind of stone and the render because of it being transparent maybe looks like a painting on it, so if you messed around with some filters and brightness/contrast maybe some hue/saturation ect you could make it look like it more and go for that style i think if done correctly that could look quit nice.
