Emo_Angl Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 I have a rune pure 85 atk 80 str.......gets owned by range tanks..... I have a dharoks pure.......owned by range tanks..... I have a str pure 10 def.......owned by range pures (most of the time) then ALL of theese accounts get owned by range tanks in f2p 24/7. Wtf is up with range tanks dominating everyone?........ I found an old account today..... 80 range 63 def.. L. So basically.......is my perception of the fact that range tanks beast everyone 24/7 at 90+cb wrong? Or does everyone else see this happen. Ive making account after account trying to find the best build, and is range tank the best for 90+ pvp'ing? Also.....would it be more...practical to turn 78atk 75 str 80 def 40 range (dont laugh) into a range tank? (has 78 hunter for monies) or should i just lv up the 80 range 63 def account?...has 0 skills. 0 gp. And im sorry for this being a "wtf im a noob please help me oh jesus" topic. But everyone on rs is retarted and generally knows nothing about anything in f2p. they just click on ppl and hope they lag or forget to eat L. But yeah any advice is appreciated. Basically i want to be able to own. hard. without having to have 128 mil for a ags and waste a year of my life. To be honest....the best time of my runescape "life" was when i was a 60 range pure with a d bow and blitz lol... but all the dam pures who claw make me too frustrated to pk with any account under lv 90. But yeah lol......any help is appreciated. Flaming too as long as its funny ;)

My AGS hits 0 after 0 on range tanks, even when I spec.

And don't use that account rofl, it's melee based and always will be (With 99 range attack + strength can't be more than 148). And low defence ones are better tbh, 40-50 def with 94 range and mage at 85-ish cb owns everyone, veng is pro at those levels when no-one else has it

They forget to repot after BGS desrtoys their defence, after a good spec it's just a long combo of 400+ until they die. The only thing that catches me out when they veng

Mester Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 First go p2p, rune pures are mostly shit against f2p tanks. You need to get a lot of strength levels, as you would like to lay some nice hits on your opponents. You should not go past 85 attack, going past 80 is a bad idea itself as you'll be facing high level tanks with 90+ ranged. If you want to make a range tank it has to be ranged or magic based, that means that you must not have gotten attack and strength levels to a total of 148+. Personally i think rune pures are the funniest to train and pk with, as they have the capabilities of a main at low combat, yet still mastering all three arts of combat. If you don't care about melee and want to ko pures/rune pures you should go range tank. But you shouldn't make a tank just because you are tired of getting killed by them. As you've come so far with your rune pure, you should stick with it, get barrows gloves (if you haven't allready) and high strength.
