ever since dungeoneering came out, they gave augury which is like a piety for mage, arcane stream neckalace a neckalace that makes mage pro and all that

i saw people hit 46s aka 460s in pvp/bh worlds with arcane stream neckalace and more with ice barrage and ancient staff i think, cant really remember BUT jagex is considering updating chaotic staff as its shit and seeing how all players bitch about it, chaotic staff might have a 20% mage attack and use miasmic

therefore, miasmic barrage+arcane stream neckalace+chaotic staff if its updated= 500s

o boy pkers=powerful

what do u guys think about this, if jagex actually makes chaotic staff 20% mage attack and all that :o

edit: this will mainly affect mains and more people in pvp worlds not too many pures also its crossbow as well that their probably going to update as well :o

It wouldn't really ruin pking as the staff is a pain to get... 200k tokens = 2 mil exp, which is more than 120 hours of dungeoneering.

The thing is, if they lose the staff/necklace it's gonna take a shitload of gameplay too get them back.

Won't matter if they update this.

will keep the rushers out tbh.Rushers now take there prayer to mage from melee so they'll start pnicing when getting slammed 50's by barrage and shit. I support :)

Won't affect me so I don't really care much but it would be cool seing maxed mains hitting 500s with barrage.

this tbh. risking it would be like risking 6-10 sets of void

I think the risk is the biggest part...but then again groups of maxed mains with Ahrims + Barrage FML

i see a lot of people in pvp worlds with arcane stream neckalace hybriding but their all mostly no honour, aka if their close to dying, they tele and they pray 24/7

to get chaotis staff back you need 1million xp in dg and for arcane stream 300k so its not chaning anyth

I think it is a good idea they make the staff more powerful as it does take so long to get and requires higher stats than a sol. However i cant see people will risk lossing it in pvp/bh unless they are in a big group or clan.

If your where to work out the max mage damage currently 51% with sol (15%), arcane stream ammy (15%) and wolpertinger/ext mage pot (21% 3% for every level boosted maxium of 7 levels). A barrage could hit 453 rounded up to 460. If the chaotic staff was given a boost to 20% the new max would be 56% magic damage which would only give 150extra damage so max hit would b rounded to 480 which isnt a massive increase.

I dont think it is really worth risking for only an extra 150 damage if it takes 120hours to get. It would b best for clan wars and other safer mini games.

already seen a 480 so your math is wrong somewhere
