Let me know if this thread shouldn't be here. I'd make a gallery but I want to have several good sigs first.

Ok so I took all the advice I was given and messed around with renders and brushes to make my own backgrounds etc.

Still pretty basic I know... but I just want to know I can do the basics (text and render placement, etc) before moving forward. Here are some sigs (will post more).

Fucked up the neck of the guitar :( & I think the text stands out too much

Okay, here's some CC. BUT ONLY because I have time to give it :)

The Charizard one's looking pretty cool, although it was from a tutorial I can't really CC it :p

The guitar one's looking really chaotic in my opinion; I think the focal needs to be defined a bit more and it needs more flow. Also, the text isn't the greatest. However, it's got its perks about it that could make it tolerable, such as the colours incorporated. Although distracting, they could prove to be visually appealing :)

As for the guitar sig in your signature, I find it kind of better to be honest, although the white brush in the bottom left corner is kind of distracting, as it stands out more than it did in the other one :p

The Megan Fox one is kind of awkward, like I could kind of see what it was that was trying to be achieved however the stock of her face looks really blurry and poorly placed, and once again the text could use some work. But, it's a cool idea, and with some tweaks it could potentially be pretty appealing :)

The Mario one's cool. The idea of it is pretty cool, and the colours are nice and warm. However, once again it proves to be kind of chaotic on its own in some spaces compared to others (left side of Mario vs right side). Also, it's kind of lacking appropriate depth, and also it looks dull on its own. Perhaps try bringing out the stocks a bit more, and give it a few tweaks here and there if you choose to.

Overall, they're pretty cool and have lots of potential! Keep on going! If you have any other questions just read around or don't hesitate to ask one of us!
