khizar Posted July 18, 2010 Posted July 18, 2010 If you wanted to be a range tank, you should've done it at lower attack/strength. It may not affect your combat, but it will help people with turmoil who fight you. And before becoming a main, first max out 1 defence, once you get bored of 1 defence pking, get a shitload of money, then get 20 defence, and pk as a maxed initiate/corrupt pure. Once you get bored of 20 defence, get a shitload more money, finish temple at sennisten, get 95 prayer, and be a maxed 30 defence turmoiler. If you ever get bored of that, do a shitload of quests, get barrows gloves, and be a maxed turmoil zerker. Just stop at zerker. Don't go past that.

I take it you do not have 350m+ for turmoil, maxed mage gear, str gear, ags, etc. So main is out of the question. Tank rangers: To be successful, you need 70 attk and stay the same str, not many quests needed but pain to train defence without soul wars. You will need a significant bank roll for supplies used in a fight, and tanks have a hard time k0ing (they outfood their opponent, not necessarily k0 every fight). All in all i feel being a tank would be a pain. Pures: Benefits are you are low combat because of your prefered defence level. You can fight other pures, or defence accounts if you prefer (not having to fight zerkers and tanks all the time). You always have the option later to go 20, 30 def turm, 45 def zerker/turm, etc. And you have a advantage over the average player with your combat stats being superior then theres. Does not require alot of money due to only needing to risk 200k max at 1 defence.

gfdgfd Posted July 19, 2010 Posted July 19, 2010 If you're going to become a tank decide quickly before you get anymore strength, considering max ranged tank can only be 149 attack+str combined so 75 attack, 74 str.
