So the women of Facebook have started posting statuses such as “I like it on the floor” etc. to raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month (It is intended to describe where they leave their handbags). While Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a great thing to raise awareness for, October is also Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In response to this, and to support the women and children (and the few men) out there who have gone through or are going through problems with domestic violence, the men of Facebook are posting things such as “I will never do it with a knife“. The item such as “knife” can be replaced as wanted with any item found in your own home, or something that is creative. The item should represent, quite simply, something that you would never use as a weapon against a family member. IMPORTANT: Keep the reason behind this only among other guys (just as the girls have done with “I like it on the floor”). Send this to all of your guy friends. Keep posting these phrases throughout the month of October and hopefully we can reduce the domestic violence rates across the country.
