Shoes for Everyone; TOMS

Just thought I'd share a pretty cool company. The company is 'TOMS.' It stands for "Shoes for Tomorrow." For every pair of shoes someone buys they donate a pair to someone who needs them. Blake Mycoskie is the founder (Chief Shoe Giver) of the company. He started this company because he went to another country and saw many kids not wearing shoes and found out that a lot of diseases can get in to you from your bare feet, some fatal. He based the 'Classic' shoe on a shoe made in Argentina (I think.) I got a pair, the Stitchout style, but they were too wide for my feet so I sent them back and got the 'Classics' in black. Very comfy, but I just wnated to share and hopefully someone else will get a pair.

I love Nike SB's and Dunks but I just can't pull them off and they're kinda big I guess you can say. I prefer TOMS and Vans, as they're smaller and tighter fitting.

Yeah I own the White Authentics and Red Authentic pair with orange on the inside and they're a different type of materiel (suede sort-of) which are pretty rare and havn't seen someone with them yet. And good idea on the TOMS, the stitchouts are better looking I think but I have smaller feet and thinner so they are too wide for me :(.

I'm 7.5 haha, and not growing that much. I also do too, but I'm trying to break the habit.

edit: 60 USD, really? i'm pretty sure povo kids don't need 60 dollar shoes. Obv they needa profit, but i'd be those things take about 2 bucks to produce, they don't even have laces...

I need some new plims as my current ones are falling apart a bit, but they aren't exactly cheap? :S  I could buy some alright lstandard plims for like 20 pounds....and then that would leave me with like 30 pounds to give to a charity of my choice  (God I havn't given to charity in ages, feeling a bit guilty right now).  As the shoes which I like off that are like upwards of 50 pounds....

It seems you are into ethically conscious companies....I seem tor emember when reading a book my sister has about comparing how ethically sound various companies are - that starbucks did pretty badly, just saying.

The reason they are $60 are because they need to make money, make two pairs of shoes, and buy tickets and storage to bring shoes to people in other countries.

I like your idea of where your coming from. But I realized that I can just get $44 dollar shoes when I usually get around $50 when I'm giving to someone else, so it's not a bad bargain for me. But with the companies, TOMS gives to white children too in the United States who cannot afford them, and I just enjoy a nice hot/iced vanilla coffee from Starbucks every so often. I'm white myself and I have Wiz Khalifa in my signature because I like his music. Eventually I put it to a white singer I enjoy but he'll do for now.

Also: With shipping the shoes cost around $53 and I had a coupon for $5.
