Neon Bible Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 I'm turning my obby mauler (1 attack 97 strength 1 def 13 prayer 74hp) into a tank obby mauler. My question is as follows; Which quests do I need to do to gain defence correctly as I'm staying at 40defence for torso etc.

Devlz Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 what happened to your christian way of seeing things?
TJ Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 WARNING! Never EVER train your defence on monsters...EVER! Quest the SHIT out of that account before you do anything. (also read my guide.) And it's an "Obby tank" or "Obsidian Tanker" Also i would not plan going over 40 defence its not worth it... GET HANDCANNON! AND DO NATURE SPIRIT FOR ADDY GLOVES (MAXED GLOVES FOR OBBY/CORRUPT TANKS) also check my clan i lead here: http://www.youtube.com/user/UocRs?feature=mhum Have been asked to make one of these for ever. so here goes. (don't get something? PM me, or join "the u o c" clan chat for live help.) Attack Stay 1 attack if i was you, lower the combat level the better; + 1 attk vs 1 def 1attk wins, u'll max hit constantly. 5 Attack helps vs 20 def, 10 attack helps vs Hippy-rune rangers. 20 is only if your going to use corrupt weapons ALLOT. Defence: Quest! DO NOT train your defence on monsters! I have seen this mistake To many times! People do it wrong and end up not being able to get H cannon/dagon hai at lvl 40-45 def. Although some of you might be getting more than 40-45 defence (65-70 Ect.) still make sure you quest your ASS off before you start training defence. Strength Training: NOTE: Always bring combat pots when training 1-30: For 1- 52 strength I did cows lol, but i suppose you can use cows/men to like 30 Strength wielding a Red Topaz machete. 30-75: From there i would start using sacred clay (40mage, and use none-comabat Stealing Creations games 'found on forums' only 10 minute rounds vs 20 mins) staffs at rock crabs, they are stronger than rune scimmys and give x2 exp; untill they hit 15k exp(they will stop giving x2 but can still be used regularly) so stock up on those. And of course once you get 60 strength grab your obby maul and berserker necklace to help you out 75-99: Soul wars'd and pk'd every once in a while. (what i'm doing at least, you can train regularly) Addy Gloves/Ranging: Also work on getting addy gloves (Maxed Gloves for obby tankers) It took me literally Like 1-2 days to get them; really easy. And do NOT use range for anything else besides pking, depending on what type of obby tank you are; you will become perm range based, at a certain Ranged level. (40 range +rune knives/obby maul, Rapes in pvp) Slayer I melee'd to 55 slayer and used peng points, I didn't use range/cannon at all. (I used sacred clay staff and Black scimmy ALSO dagger(P++). Although you can use range/mage for task's i do not advise it. Slayer masters used: Turael: good for low level slayer tasks. (heres where he is.) Mazchna:Good for Higher level slayer tasks, Requires Priest in Peril done. (Heres where he is.) Dagon Hai/Hand Cannon: Also you can get dagon hai and hand cannon , but check the rewards, because sub quests do give exp on def. Dagon Hai Robes: http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=158 Hand Cannon: *Requires 75 range. http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=8912 Firecape/Prossy Armor: Also, if your planning on getting firecape you will need 43 prayer (use quest's to level first), and "prossy armor" so make you do this quest: Prossy Armor http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2quest_id=146 Sacred Clay INFO: Remember to search the forums for "Non-Combat Stealing Creations" for fast safe games. What Sacred clay is mostly a skilling mini-game. You use a harvest skill, like woodcutting or fishing, mining ect, to gather "Clay shards" And use a crafting type skill(fletching, smithing, runecrafting ect.) To make those clay shards into armor/weapons/supplies ect. Now, depending on you harvest skills level, you'll be restricted to what Level shards you can gather. For instance: If you have 20 woodcutting you can collect lvl 2 Shards. If you have 40 Woodcutting you can collect lvl 3 and under ect. (For more info on that just click Mining, fishing, woodcutting skill box and click "activity's" for a full list of levels and restrictions.) Now you need to make the shards into somthing, so you need a 20 plus crafting type skill like fletching or W.e. You run what shards you have collected to a "Kiln" and you'll see through the list what your options are what you can make. After making items you quickly run them back to your teams base and click the center table, putting all of your created items into the surplus. You'll really start to get it after a couple games. Rinse and repeat Taylor-Tj
