how to get sound to work..

i have my xbox hooked up to my computer monitor via hdmi to dvi. i dont have speakers on my monitor.. any ideas on how i can get sound?

I'm assuming you have computer speakers... lol

When i did that it just played through my speakers, but i wasn't using HDMI, HDMI cables fuck with audio i've noticed. Better off just googling it.

i tried to google it, i wouldnt post without a quick google. but all i found was some adapter, but it didnt make sense how that would work, because it was for a standard definition out put from the xbox. anyway, i cant use my comp speakers cuz i have it directly hooked up to the monitor, and im on a laptop.

then run a head phone to head phone wire to my surround sound, or even just plug in a head set.

edit: just googled if usb speakers would work with a 360, apparently not. so maybe this?
