On November 10, 2010, Fandango has reported that over 900 movie theaters have sold out of shows for the movie, with over 2000 showtimes sold out. There are expected grosses of over $950 million on opening day. Just a week before the film's release, Box Office Spy reported that 1700 showtimes had sold out for Part 1.

yeah, when i went to the first one in theaters it was beast. but all the other ones just really never did it for me. the books were really good though.
